LS Eco Energy (CEO Lee Sang-ho) announced on the 22nd that LS-VINA, the company's production corporation in Vietnam, will supply ultra-high voltage cables to the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
The supplied cables will be used for infrastructure development projects in the Tan Son Nhat Airport area of Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam and the Song Khoai Industrial Park in Quang Ninh Province in the northeast.
These are key areas where large-scale projects, such as new city development and airport construction, are underway in accordance with the Vietnamese government's urban development plan.
The Vietnamese government aims to increase the country’s urbanization rate, which currently stands at around 43%, to over 50% by 2030.
LS-VINA is the only ultra-high-voltage cable manufacturer in Vietnam, currently holding a market share of about 80%. The company has recently expanded its exports to Europe and North America.
In addition, LS-VINA is the only Korean cable manufacturer to have obtained PQ (Pre-Qualification) approval from EVN. PQ approval is an evaluation indicator for specific requirements related to cable quality and a prerequisite for supplying products to EVN.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of LS Eco Energy, said, “With the active development of new cities in Vietnam and full-fledged ‘K new city exports’ by Korean companies, we expect LS Eco Energy’s growth to accelerate further.”
